By accessing or using lorescope.ai (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Lorescope produces a playful, interpretive profile from the titles you select and the questions you answer. It is not a psychological, medical, diagnostic, employment, educational, financial or predictive assessment, and it is not validated science. Do not use it to make decisions about any person, including yourself, and do not use it to evaluate anyone for employment, credit, insurance, housing, or any similar purpose.
The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the Service in a way that concerns you, contact us.
The Service requires no sign-up, no login, and no personal information. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or precise location. See the Privacy Notice for exactly what is collected and why.
Your title selections and answers are handled as described in the Privacy Notice. By using the Service, you grant Driftwing a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your anonymised and aggregated inputs to operate, improve and research the Service and to develop aggregate insights. We do not sell your individual inputs. This licence is deliberately limited to anonymised and aggregate use, to match how the Service is actually built.
Please do not: submit automated, bulk or artificial traffic; scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Service; attempt to interfere with, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to it; reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law; or use it in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights. We may rate-limit or block traffic to keep the Service running and to keep the research data honest.
Some book recommendations link to third-party retailers through affiliate programmes. If you buy through one of those links, Driftwing may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This disclosure is made in accordance with U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidance. Affiliate relationships do not change how recommendations are generated — they come from the same scoring the rest of your result uses. We are not responsible for third-party sites, their content, prices, or their handling of your data.
The Service — including its name, design, copy, code, narrative taxonomy, scoring logic and generated templates — is owned by Driftwing and protected by intellectual property law. Titles of films, television programmes and books are referenced as factual metadata for identification only. We claim no rights in those works, and their appearance does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation with their authors, publishers, studios, distributors or rights-holders.
You may share the result card we generate for you, including on social media. Please do not remove attribution from it.
The Service is provided as an experiment and may be changed, interrupted or discontinued at any time, in whole or in part, without notice.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY RESULT IT PRODUCES IS ACCURATE, MEANINGFUL, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DRIFTWING WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. DRIFTWING'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID DRIFTWING IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of the two sections above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold Driftwing harmless from third-party claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing here prevents either party from bringing an individual claim in a small-claims court of competent jurisdiction.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above and post the revised version here. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice, are the entire agreement between you and Driftwing regarding the Service.
